Cricket and money involvement

The game of cricket has been originated and started in the 16th century in South-East England, became an established sport in the 18th century, and furthermore developed globally in the 19th and 20th.

A journey of test to one-day cricket started in 1971 in Melbourne, between  Australia and England when 3 days of a test match were washed -out by the heavy rain, then it was decided to play a one-day match and Australia won that match by 5 wickets.

Later on in 1976, in Australia "Kery Packer" established the rival world cricket series in color uniform instead of white and used the white ball as well instead of the red ball. The cricket matches had been changed, finally, nowadays cricket became more commercial and attractive for cricketers and viewers as well.

When a shorter version of cricket, means 20 overs cricket has been started, so cricket matches have been totally changed from sports to entertainment or fun, batter developed unorthodox shorts which couldn't imagine in the past and viewers at the ground or at watching on TVs love watching it.
 

Modern-day cricket has fame, charm, and money as well, that's why the new generation wants to become a cricketer.

People, organizations, and partnerships all need to get notoriety, and people groups know them all over the planet for this reason they put cash in promotions, sports are the manner in which people groups love sportsmen with next to no speculation, and as a result of their presentation, disposition, and abilities towards the game.
In many countries, peoples love cricketers more than their friends and sometimes their own kids as well, few examples of these countries are, India, Pakistan, Australia, West Indies, England, New Zealand, and Srilanka.
Many cricketers carry their fame after retirement as well and they cash their goodwill and fame after retirement People want to see them on screen so multinationals cast them in their companies' ads etc.



  • Charm 

In modern-day cricket, where fame and money are get-togethers, viewership creates clients, clients pay for their products ads which are televised during the match break and this money goes to cricket tournament's organization as TV right, and finally, a good amount to be paid to cricketers according to their caliber and performance, in the modern-day cricket many T20 leagues to be organized in the different countries, such as IPL in India, PPL in Pakistan, and BBL in Australia and such like as many more, these leagues pay a handsome amount to cricketers.
Money always has a charm for the younger generation lot to adopt this sport as a career, and why we have seen a lot of lovers on our roads, parks, and playgrounds who love to play and watch cricket and have a dream to become a cricketer. 

  • Money Involvement

In the last 4 decades, cricket made a huge fan following, and when one day cricket started cricket's lovers have been doubled in size, especially in Indo/Pak, and when "Kerry Packer" brought colorful cricket along with huge monetary support to cricketers than cricket became commercialized.
With the passage of time changes in cricket, rules brought more interest to viewers and made the game more result-oriented, such as the 3rd umpire decisions option on LBW, Catches, and runouts.
Above mentioned all things created more viewership for the game, and viewership generated commercial ads during the matches and a good portion of the amount of the commercial ad goes to cricketers in terms of match fees/rewards, etc.
In the final lines, I would like to say cricket had been changed after the introduction of one-day cricket and more glamourized when "Kerry Packer" introduced colorful cricket and floodlights, and also T20 cricket made more viewers and lovers for the game, which is created more viewership and viewership created more commercial interest towards the game, these things brought huge money in the game.
